• Over-explain and lose clarity

The Art of Self Governance Skills Lab is a 6-week training designed to help you build the embodied capacity to do something different.

Through guided scenarios, live practice, and real-time feedback, you’ll strengthen the skills required to stay regulated, tell the truth, and remain relational — even when there is disagreement, pressure, or conflict.

This is not a lecture series.

It is a practice laboratory.

What You Will Learn

The Skills Lab develops four core capacities:

Regulation
Learn to notice activation in your nervous system and remain grounded instead of reacting or collapsing.

Truth
Practice expressing clear, honest communication without over-explaining, apologizing for your existence, or attacking others.

Relationship
Develop the ability to stay connected and respectful while still honoring your boundaries and perspective.

Complexity
Build the capacity to hold disagreement, ambiguity, and competing viewpoints without losing yourself.

How the Lab Works

Each week we work with realistic relational scenarios where participants practice responding in real time.

Examples include:

• Addressing a business partner who violated an agreement
• Responding to criticism without becoming defensive
• Setting a boundary with someone who is dismissive
• Navigating disagreement without damaging the relationship

Participants practice in small groups while receiving direct coaching and feedback.

Sessions are recorded so you can review your progress and observe your own patterns.

The Progression

Over the six weeks, the complexity of scenarios gradually increases.

Week 1 — Regulation Under Pressure
Recognizing activation and staying grounded.

Week 2 — Speaking Truth Clearly
Practicing concise and honest communication.

Week 3 — Staying Relational
Learning how to maintain connection even during disagreement.

Week 4 — Navigating Power Dynamics
Responding skillfully when authority or hierarchy is involved.

Week 5 — Complexity & Pushback
Handling criticism, misunderstanding, and tension.

Week 6 — Integrated Practice
Applying all skills in multi-layered scenarios.

Group Size: Limited cohort to allow meaningful practice
